Dexter season finale

Bayside Butcher

Unlike the sub-par season of Heroes, Dexter kept it exciting all season long. The finale was no exception. I was sad to see Doakes gone. His dynamic with Dexter was easily the best part of the show. Lila finally getting hers was a long time coming. She was my least favorite character, though I did like the way it all played out with her(minus killing Doakes). The conflict with her, Dexter, and Rita was nice.

Not sure where they go next season. I hope they don’t rehash this season with LaGuerta taking up Doakes obsession. Whatever they do, I can’t wait. Dream on Dexter!

Dexter on Showtime…

Slow episode this week. I like the injection of Rita’s mother. Conflict is always good, especially misguided conflict based on past conflicts. The heat as a character wasn’t handled that well. Best use of that that I’ve seen is in Kurosawa’s Stray Dog. Wonderful use. I’m not sure I like Dexter’s sponsor, her name escapes me. Seems a little convenient that she may be “evil” in some way.

Watched Bionic Woman as well…I think I’m done with that show. The acting, dialogue, and Isiah Washington suck. Nothing going on to keep me interested.

Heroes tonight, woohoo!

Dexter on Showtime…

Bayside Butcher

Darkly Dreaming Dexter is back, and I know, I’m a week behind. Somehow I missed the premiere. But all is rectified thanks to multiple showings and the miracle of DVR. This show is the 3rd piece in my “Isosceles Triangle of Awesomeness in Television”…The “ITAT”. There’s House at the pinnacle, then at the bottom, even as the number two, is Heroes and Dexter. The first season of Dexter is tremendous. He’s easily the most likeable serial killer in the history of television.

This season however has Dexter in some serious shit quick fast and in a hurry. The walls are falling faster than Bush’s approval rating. Falling faster than Dick Cheney’s hunting buddies. Falling faster than the belief in God. Falling MUCH faster than gas prices. Falling faster than my blog readership!

With all that said, this looks to be a hell of a season and if you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing this show, check out the first season on DVD. GREAT show.
