…to post about, but figured I should blog. Been a few days, but just haven’t been in the mood. Still not. Sooooo…hmmm. Getting myself an ID Card Tuesday so I can actually get into Comic-Con. Can’t fricken’ wait. Then we’re heading to Pittsburg to do a little shopping. Mostly groceries, but I’m sure the kids will end up with something…they always do. Tre got a spiffy electric guitar toy today. It plays like 14 songs, and he can hook his mp3 player into it, and it is way too advanced for a 5 year old. But he’s enjoying it so I guess that’s what counts. I’ll probably get a DVD or two. Trying to cut back since I plan to get a Blu-ray player aka a PS3. May just get a few Blu-ray DVD’s as my new laptop has a Blu-ray drive. I hate saving money…and I’m not very good at it.

In completely different, yet still media related news, the new Bizzy Bone Cd is really good. Been listening to a lot of 90’s R&B, particularly Jodeci, Silk, and Shai. Also a bunch of underground Hip-Hop. There’s a lot of good shit out there if you look. I’m really digging Napster. On the other hand, I’m not really diggin’ the new Gnarls Barkley cd. It’s still good, but not near as good as St. Elsewhere. I’ll probably post an mp3 Saturday. I’m thinking K-Ci & Jojo.

Watched Juno again today. Great movie. Just fuckin’ hilarious. Random quotes from the movie…

Not much else going on. Kids had visitation today. By all accounts everything went well. She who shall not be named, actually had the gall to call my mom a bad mother the other day. Yeah. Fuckin’ unbelievable. Also 7 days of drug/alcohol classes is apparently too much for her. “She can quit anytime she wants.” Her words, not mine. Apparently she doesn’t want to.

Anyway, can’t wait for Comic-Con! I’m almost looking forward to all the folks in costume than the actual show. It’s gonna be glorious.

Hotel registration opened yesterday(and I forgot). So we called today hoping things were still open. We made a reservation in under 5 minutes. We’ll be staying at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort. About 4.1 miles from the Convention Center. Looks like a nice hotel. Nice little trip over the San Diego Bay. Should be a pleasurable trip…positive thinking.

In the process of “acquiring” 19 gigs of comics. Be like 3 more days before it’s done. It’s the whole Infinite Crisis saga, precursor, and aftermath. Pretty much DC’s Civil War in how it spans the entire DC universe. Don’t really know too much about it but when I saw I could get it all in one fell swoop…I swooped.

Also finished up Agent X. Pretty good short series. Only 15 issues but all wrapped well in the end, and Deadpool was “revived”. Now onto Cable & Deadpool and Civil War.

Hopefully a few of my favs show up at Comic-Con. Namely Gaiman, Alan Moore, and Mike Mignola…Oh and Frank Miller I guess. Still need to finish all the Sin City books. Only have 2 left. And that’s that. I did nothing today but watch Bionic Woman…still a remarkably average show.

…and printed out. Good tickets again this year. November 4th versus the Green Bay Packers. May have to make Cody sit by himself since he’s a Packer fan Seating chart below…

Also ordered the Comic-Con tix so no backing out for me now. I must actually go somewhere other than the surrounding area, or be out $220 lol. Get a hotel setup next month. Got a few earmarked already. All within shouting distance of Comic-Con, Sea World, & The San Diego Zoo. Should be a great time. Be like a 14 day trip…most of it driving. Even got mom to partially agree to bringing the nephew. All in all a good day…expensive, but good.

Hadn’t had much going on this past week. Been extremely slow. Didn’t get up or go anywhere at all. Allen came over Saturday with Cody. We watched an episode of the UK Office and played some Madden and NCAA Football…I dominated of course Then Allen came over again yesterday. Watched the Chiefs kick ass, and I beat him in Madden again. Was a good game that went into overtime. He missed 2 game-winning FG’s. And that’s pretty much it for me.

Gonna buy the Chiefs tickets and Comic Con tickets tomorrow. Then I’ll be officially broke for awhile. Chiefs tickets cost me around $600 last year, I think it’ll be more this year. Crazy, but I don’t mind. I enjoy it, and we always have a good time. Took my sister’s insignificant other last year. Won’t make that mistake again. He’s in jail right now anyway…god I hate him. This year he’s being replaced by a significantly better choice in Cody.

Also between now and July I’m gonna try to convince my mom to bring my nephew with us to Comic-Con. He’d get a kick out of it, as well as the San Diego zoo. Not sure how well he’ll handle the drive though. It’s a looong drive.

Gonna try to get out to my cousins football game tonight, but now my mom is sick now so that might not happen. May have to just wait until Friday. Nephew I think is finally getting better. He didn’t cough at all last night while sleeping. His coughing woke him up the night before. He got up and went and slept with grandma…probably the reason she’s sick now lol. That’s it for now. Hope I didn’t completely bore you to death with my oh so exciting life.
