King Carl has finally been de-throned!

Chiefs fans rejoice! After the Chiefs embarrassing loss to the Charger’s yesterday, the first casualty of this atrocious season is the resignation of King Carl who is now in his 19th year of a 3 year plan. The resignation is effective immediately after the season and it’s about fucking time. Now we need Herm Edwards and his horrible playcalling and even worse clock management to tender his resignation.

While I’m on sports, a very fond farewell to the greatest pitcher I’ve ever seen. Greg Maddux retired a couple weeks back after an incredible career. He was by far my favorite pitcher to watch. I just wish I had gotten to see him pitch live. There was nothing better than being a Braves fan during the heyday of the big three of Smoltz, Glavine and Maddux. It’s amazing, and a little depressing, that we only got one championship during that time. Damn you Eric Gregg! Oh, I remember and will never forget how he gave Florida that series. Anyway, goodbye bulldog. Thanks for the memories. And with that, I’m out.

Well the draft has come and gone and I’m pretty happy with how things went down. Chiefs really scored with their first 4 picks. Would’ve liked to have seen them take at least one offensive lineman with one of their third round picks. But can’t complain when we get possibly the best player in the draft in Glenn Dorsey and an offensive lineman who may be the steal of the draft in Branden Albert. Follow that up with the hard hitting Brandon Flowers out of VT, and the fast as all hell Jamaal Charles and I actually look forward to next year…unfortunately Herm will almost guaranteed ruin all chances at a respectable season. Fuckin’ Herm.

Roger Clemens keeps digging himself deeper and deeper. Apparently he had a 10 year affair with Oxycontin spokeswoman, convict, and part-time country singer Mindy McCready. Which apparently began when she was only 15. I guess he never heard the saying “15 will get you 20″. He went by the motto, “Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed”. Of course he “flatly denied” all accusations through his lawyer. Which of course comes on the heels of him “flatly denying” his use of performance enhancing drugs. Unfortunately for him Mindy McCready today denied nothing, and all but confirmed the affair. Clemens, grade A douche bag.

The Orlando Magic won their first playoff series since 1996, and it’s about time. After Shaq and Penny left the Magic way back when, I quit the sport for about 10 years, so I missed all of their struggles and just came back to Basketball this year. Them winning…Coincidence?…I think not! Side note: Dwight Howard is the Bomb Diggity yo! Averaging 21pts and 18 boards in the series.

My other team, the Braves, not fairing as well. Tom Glavine on the DL for the first time in his long career(he is back today however), Mike Hampton’s 20 million a year fragile ass, Smoltzies shoulder acting up, Mike Gonzalez still out, our most consistent reliever Peter Moylan on the 15 day DL, and our Closer also on the 15 day DL makes for a bad patchwork pitching staff.

Then you got Chipper Jones and Yunel Escobar playing hurt. Only bright spot thus far is Jurrjens is pitching really well. Hopefully things get turned around but I’m not optimistic. Side note: Braves need more TV time…fuckin’ TBS!

2 to go. Mike Solari, offensive retard coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs is no more. Fired today after a horrible season for the Chiefs in his first year as an offensive retard coordinator.

Now we just need to lose Herm and Carl Peterson and I’m a happy camper. Unfortunately I don’t think that’s happening. Maybe we’ll get an offensive coordinator in who can open Herm up a little…and Peterson will patch up the offensive line whether through the draft or free agency.

I’m not optimistic.

Chiefs….*sigh*

Well, I think it’s long past the time to start looking forward to next season. We’re beyond done this year. Last I looked, they were down 41-7 to the fuckin’ Broncos.

Other news, at least we’re not the Dolphins.

Kansas Football got their first loss of the season yesterday :(

Kansas basketball won in overtime in a very competitive game today

Herm loss another one for the Chiefs. This time HORRIBLE clock management is the blame

Another one bites the dust…

The Priest Holmes experiment is ova! Apparently he re-injured his neck late in the game Sunday. Word is, he’s expected to announce his retirement today. It was a small miracle he was able to come back at all. Glad he’s getting out now, before things get worse.

Side note: That Michael Bennett trade ain’t looking too great. We’re down to just one back now in Kolby Smith…not comforting.

Solari and Herm must go…

Best quote I’ve heard concerning the Chiefs…

“You could turn this offensive unit over to Heidi Fleiss, stuff a 39-gallon Hefty bag with hundred-dollar bills, lather the players in Brut aftershave, ship them all to Nevada’s Mustang Ranch, and they still couldn’t score.” - Jason Whitlock

Solari’s a retard and Herm needs to quit head coaching and stick with being a defensive coordinator. At least I didn’t hear Kris Wilson’s name all game. The constant quick passes to Bowe was quite frustrating however. Priest isn’t a workhorse anymore either. He’s good for MAYBE 15 carries. Get the rook some carries. He looked decent. D-Bowe and Jared Allen are awesome however…correction, fuckin’ awesome!

Cody jinxed us all…

Current Mood:Sad emoticon Sad

I should’ve known better than to bring a cheesehead to the game with us. Huard continues to suck ass, Larry injured his ankle, and Favre continues to show that age ain’t nothing but a number…I still hate him. With that said, it was still a very good game until the end where Huard showed why he’s been a backup his whole career. The young safeties also showed their inexperience on a couple of plays. Plus side, Denver got thrashed, and San Diego also loss.

Side note…I brought my camera but dumbass that I am I forgot to check and see if it had a memory card in it…it didn’t. So no pics from the game. I took one when I got home with my nephew Tre and here it be…

I am the king of NCAA Football!

Current Mood:Indifferent emoticon Indifferent

Allen, Drew, and Cody all came by today, and got a beating by my hands…well Allen only got beat in all of the mini-games but it was a beating nonetheless.

Speaking of beatings in NCAA Football, Kansas beat Nebraska today 76-39…76! Ridiculous.

Going to the Chiefs game tomorrow, it shall be a glorious thrashing of ye ole Green Bay Packers and it’s geriatric QB Brett Favre.

Hmmm, what else. Kansas basketball put a beat down on Pitt State couple days ago as well, but that was expected.

Don’t much care for professional basketball, but for posterity’s sake, I predict KG will average 18points, 12 boards, 6 assists, and 2 blocks this year.

I need to update this thing…

Current Mood:Bored emoticon Bored

…but today was a very slow day. Nothing eventful happened. No Chiefs game :( Beat Allen in Madden again. Sloppy ass game, but I won so that’s all that matters. I’m lost without the internet. I got on the computer this morning when I got up and this POS froze up on me in about 4 minutes. Visited all of two websites. I don’t think I’m getting all of my email on this computer either. There’s been a drop in my daily amount. Spam is about the same :@

Dentist in a couple days so that’s a plus. Also the Chiefs/Packers game on the 4th. Should be a good time. And that’s about it. Life bores me right now.
