NFC won the Pro Bowl…yaaaaawn

The greatest coach of all time, Bob Knight, stepped down this week. Be nice to see him come back and go for 1000 wins, but that’s just me being selfish.

The stupidest trade of all time went down as the Suns traded away midget arm, malcontent Shawn Marion for big, old, slow, Shaquille O’Neal. He’s gonna kill the Suns. I just don’t see how this trade is in any way good for the Suns. Meanwhile, the Heat are looking much better for the future with that huge contract off their shoulders.

NBA predictions…Finals? Hmmm. Celtics vs Jazz…a ratings nightmare. Finals MVP, Kevin Garnett. League MVP Chris Paul. Hope the Magic do well too. I’m a Magic fan going back to Shaq/Penny/Nick Anderson/Dennis Scott days.

Kansas basketball continues to roll since Beasley and company defeated them a couple weeks back. My final four picks…Kansas, Duke, UCLA, and Indiana. North Carolina is over-rated and Memphis has even worse free throw shooting than Kansas. A Kansas/Memphis showdown would be fun to watch though.

Todays song is Livin’ In a New World by The Roots off the cd Game Theory. I haven’t listened to this cd alot, so when I was trying to come up with the song for today I hadn’t a clue. A quick listen to a few of the songs and this one stuck out the most. Also liked the title track, but again. I really like the Beck-esque vocals. Hell it might be Beck, but I’m too lazy to check it out. Anyway, due to extreme laziness I’m done talking.

I watched MTV today for the first time in a loooong time. I broke down after catching a commercial for a new reality show. I know, I know. But this one is all kinds of awesome. All you gotta do is ignore everything BUT the competition. The show is America’s Best Dance Crew. B-boy’s and girls from all over America pop, lock, grind…and skate? their way to fame. It was some good shit.

My favorite crew by far at this point is JabbaWockeeZ. Love their style and the masks they wear. The most talented is clearly Kaba Modern. They do not miss. Very precise. Them Asians be going off. Both all girl groups are meh. Especially Femme 5. No personality, and no real style. Then there’s BreakSk8. A crew on skates. Hella talented but not sure how long their gimmick can take them in a “dance” competition.

Lot of other talented crews, but those are the one’s that stuck out to me. Give it a looksee, it’s pretty good.

Hotel registration opened yesterday(and I forgot). So we called today hoping things were still open. We made a reservation in under 5 minutes. We’ll be staying at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort. About 4.1 miles from the Convention Center. Looks like a nice hotel. Nice little trip over the San Diego Bay. Should be a pleasurable trip…positive thinking.
