…but aren’t they all. Watched the Chiefs lose AGAIN. I think they have the number 3 pick locked down now. I’m pretty sure the Rams have the number 2 pick, and they will likely pick who I want the Chiefs to pick in Ryan Long. They have no need for a running back so won’t be taking McFadden. I pray we don’t take Matt Ryan. I’m sure he’ll be good, but without an offensive line he’ll be just as bad as Croyle/Huard…well maybe not that bad.

Drew, Allen, & Cody came over. I destroyed them in a one and done College Hoops tournament. I was the almighty Georgetown. Hibbert was DOMINANT. Single-handedly won me the championship game. Had 8 offensive boards. Cody was not happy. Then we watched(well Cody read Dark Knight Returns), the manliest man movie ever…The Wedding Singer. I love that fricken’ movie. Adam Sandler’s best movie by far. One of the best cheesy endings ever, and the 80’s were great of course. It frightens me a little that I knew the words to every song in the movie. Hell I even knew the words to Adam Sandler’s songs. Yet I don’t own it…next month…maybe.

Now I’m just watching Justice League with Tre. I live a very easy life.

Today is the legendary rap group Geto Boys. Oddly enough the song I’ve chosen today is off their CD ‘Til Death Do Us Part, which featured Big Mike instead of Willie D. It’s still my favorite Geto Boys CD. So many outstanding tracks. 6 Feet Deep, Crooked Officer, the fun Cereal Killer, and Murder after Midnight. But my favorite by far is “Straight Gangstaism”. Just everything about it. Lyrics, flow, beat. Great stuff. Without further ado…

Movie about a woman who’s face is disfigured and the father who loves her…sorta. Wiki’s synopses goes like so…
“The plot revolves around the obsessive Doctor Génessier attempting experimental heterografting surgery to restore his daughter Christian’s face which had been horribly ruined in a car accident. With the help of Louise, Doctor Génessier lures young women into his home-laboratory to perform the experiments to restore Christiane’s beauty.”

Unfortunately it fails time and again, and the women he experiments on all die. In the end, Christiane goes mad and kills Louise and inadvertently her father as well.

Decent movie. Acting in some parts bothered me, but the woman who played Christiane was hauntingly effective. Not one I’d watch again, but worth a one time viewing.

…I just geeked out. Watched the third disc of Escaflowne. If it keeps going as is, it might actually get bought. I’m very picky on what anime I buy. Mostly due to cost, but anime is so diverse and most of it annoys the fuck out of me.

Right now, I only own 4 complete series. Berserk(great until the final disc), Trigun(fuckin’ awesome), Cowboy Bebop(Fuckin’ awesomer with a killer soundtrack), Neon Genesis Evangelion(good, but can be/is confusing) and one series I’ve yet to complete(but fully plan to) in Full Metal Alchemist. Only movies I really own are Studio Ghibli…loooove Hayao Miyazaki! Also have Wicked City(good, but not as into it as I was 10 years ago), Vampire Hunter D(love it), and Ninja Scroll(First anime I ever saw and bought it before I knew what good anime was).

Continuing with the geekfest, I read the first 2 volumes of Warren Ellis’ Transmetropolitan TPB and Spider Jerusalem is the coolest motherfucker ever. Just great stuff. An example of Spider’s eloquence with the english language…

I’ve watched the first two discs of this anime and it’s not too shabby. Much better than I thought it would be but nothing about it that really stands out. Correction, I love the music in it. Reminds me of old school RPG’s.

Dilandau is sadistically awesome. All kinds of crazy. Not a big fan of Van thus far. Allen’s ok, he seems too perfect at this point. They alluded to his past a little but nothing too deep. Keeps him mildly interesting thus far. Character’s like Hitomi tend to anno me, but she’s probably my favorite character at this point. Well, besides Dilandau.

Anyway, it’s still got me interested to see the rest of the series. Check it out if you haven’t already.

X-Mas was good. Just immediate family. Me, mom, sis, and kids. Cousins came over later and hung out for a bit. I actually got up. Normally the kids open their presents in my room. Today, I got up and went in the living room for the first time in ages. Kids had a really good x-mas. We only got stuff for them this year…and boy did they get alot of crap.

I got Tre a media player and he’s yet to put it down. My gift trumped all and that makes me happy. He’s a tad spoiled.

Well, as per our usual M.O., we were late. Most of the food was one. Got some ham, and 2 deviled eggs. Did get some bomb ass cherry cheese cake.

It’s funny to see our family. Every big get together everybody is in their own little group. My group consists of me, Allen(cousin), Tre(nephew), sometimes Drew(cousin) & Shell(sis), and Nevin(sister’s insignificant other) when he actually comes. I don’t talk to anybody, just kinda hangout. We mostly sit around and bitch about any and everything. Talk about people behind their back. Nothing vicious, just things we find funny.

It was an alright time, kids enjoyed themselves and were very well behaved…well except when Taytay threw a haymaker at some kid. Apparently clocked him pretty good.

This week is the aforementioned “smoothest, most soulful white boy ever, Jon B.” I don’t know what he’s doing now, but he sung his ass off in the mid-90’s. I had a tough choice in song selection. Go with his biggest commercial hit or my favorite song of his. I decided on my favorite song. That song is “Pretty Girl” off his CD “Bonafide”.

My plan to get up everyday isn’t going well. It’s been about 2 weeks since I last got up. With no sign of things improving. It fuckin’ sucks. I’m thinking my planned trips will not be happening. I have zero faith, and no reason to think otherwise. Anyway…I AM getting up tomorrow. The big family X-Mas is tomorrow. Won’t be too bad hopefully. In any case, I’ll have my spiffy archos media player with me.

Another UTI, or still a UTI. Who the fuck knows at this point. More antibiotics. Tre did infact end up having strep. He’s all better now…and a pain in my ass.
