Well the continued love by Damon Huard with Kris Wilson continues. And surprise, the offense still blows. Defense was dominant today, and Jared Allen is one of the biggest draft thefts in history. Incredible. Priest Homes made his first appearance in nearly two years…and nobody noticed…or cared.
Made myself a Chiefs desktop wallpaper couple days ago while bored. Here it be…
Earl was the clear winner this week. I mean it had H.R. Pufnstuf, Crabman and his beautiful song “Please Respect the Meat”, a telenovela, and of course…ninjas. My favorite episode of the year.
Office was…odd. Not as funny, but not bad. Had some emotional moments. My favorite being when Jim consoled Dwight over his relationship with Angela.
A lot of great lines as always, and loved the entire who/whom scene, and when Michael says “No one asked you anything ever so whomevers name is Toby, why don’t you take a letter opener and stick it in your skull.” And Kelly saying, “Ryan used ME as an object.” And, Kevin saying “I know, but I’m not telling because nobody showed up last night”. Just a really great scene.
I only got this PPV to see the inevitable destruction of Rich Franklin by “Black Jesus” Anderson Silva. Nothing on the undercard interested me in the slightest. “Big” announcement at the event as former professional wrestler Brock Lesnar, purveyor of the Shooting Star Headbutt, has signed with the UFC. Love to see Couture destroy him…hell I’d like to see anyone destroy him.
Middleweight bout: Ryan Jensen vs. Demian Maia – Maia defeats Jensen by submission at 2:40 of the first round with a rear naked choke
Middleweight bout: Kalib Starnes vs. Alan Belcher – Belcher defeats Starnes by TKO at 2:39 of round two due to doctor stoppage.
Light heavyweight bout: Eric Schafer vs. Stephan Bonnar – Bonnar defeats Schafer by TKO (strikes) at 2:47 of round two.
Lightweight bout: Jorge Gurgel vs. Alvin Robinson – This fight started off great. Some slick groundwork, then after the 1st round it went to shit. Gurgel just got sat on and pounded for the final 2 rounds. Needless to say Gurgel lost via unanimous decision.
Heavyweight bout: Brandon Vera vs. Tim Sylvia – Sylvia defeats Vera by unanimous judges’ decision…boooooring
Middleweight Championship bout: Anderson Silva vs. Rich Franklin – Black Jesus destroyed Rich Franklin in Franklin’s hometown as expected. It wasn’t brutal as last time, but it was still a hell of a beat down. Franklin wore Bengals colors, and Black Jesus in his infinite and all knowing wisdom, wore Steelers colors to further upset the already hostile crowd. It was glorious.
