Chiefs whooped up on the Chargers in a game I was SURE they would get murderlized in. Dwayne Bowe continues to kick ass with 8 catches 164yds and a TD. LJ broke the 100yd barrier for the first time this year…still lookin’ for the end zone. It’s amazing what you can do when you’re not just throwing it to FB’s and TE’s in the flat. Still much rather see Croyle at QB but it’s already been established that Herm Edwards is a fucking offensive retard.

I can’t explain why I like this one.  But anytime I think of Ol Dirty, I think of this song and just smile.  Fun little track with ODB “singing”.  I bring you O.D.B. - “Drunk Game”.

…of the shows I actually watched. First up…

House - My favorite show on TV. And even without the 3 co-stars who are no longer under the employ of one Dr. House, the show was still really good. As detailed below in an earlier post, House is awesome! (B+)

Heroes - My second favorite show didn’t fare as well in it’s premiere. No real direction yet, so the show just kinda meandered along. Nothing great about this first episode, but I expect it to get better as the season goes on. (C)

Bionic Woman - Has potential, and may just make it a full season, but some of the dialogue was just bad. Story is pretty good thus far, and like that the main character isn’t the only “Bionic Woman”. Special effects were ok, and fight scenes leave a little to be desired. Alot of that horrible camera moving and shaking crap like is so prevalent in the Bourne movies. (C-)

Chuck - The biggest surprise thus far. I really enjoyed this. Very likable character’s, decent fun story, and believable acting. Not sure how long they can stretch this show out with the plot device they’re using. Really hope this show continues on for awhile. (B)

The Office - The best comedy on TV in years, and easily the best comedy on TV now…easily. Nothing is even remotely close. The premiere didn’t disappoint. Creed was funny as always with his 10-15 seconds of airtime he tends to get. Line of the night…”You don’t know me, you just saw my penis.” Then Jim’s reaction. Also loved it when Kevin dubbed Pam & Jim “PB&J”. Good episode. (B+)

My Name is Earl - The second best comedy on TV, but just doesn’t have the same “zing” as the Office. I could miss an episode and not be upset at all. With that said it was still pretty good. Randy is usually the best part of the shows and was again here. The end was great. “Hey, I’m stealing this car!” “Bwoop, bwoop…that’s the car alarm, don’t you hear it, cuz I’m stealing this car…” LoL, good stuff. (B-)

My poor little nephew puked last night for the first time in his young life(he’s 4) and it scared the shit out of him. He asked his mommy, “am I going to die?” Was so sad. Poor little bastard. What’s worse was I got onto him for not eating. He said his stomach hurt, but I thought he was just not wanting to eat. So I had to apologize to him. He woke up this morning feeling better though so that’s good.

In non sad little man news, I watched “Chuck” and was pleasantly surprised. It was a really good first show and I look forward to next weeks show. Hopefully Bionic Woman is at least as good. I think I may have missed the boat on Journeyman though. I hadn’t seen many previews, but it looked really good as well. Time travel has always piqued my interest. Looks like a good season for TV…much better than last year anyway.

…and it is glorious. Is there a more awesome person in the world than House? Rhetorical question. The answer is no. Shô Kosugi is close, but not quite. I think I like House, the character, so much because we are VERY similar. Minus the whole genius doctor thing and drug addiction of course. He’s sarcastic, anti-social, believes everybody has an agenda and general dislike of people, pushes those close to him away, and all-around assholery…but in a good way. Yep, peas in a pod are me & House…of course we could never be friends, cuz he’s such a dick…and fake of course.

Anyway, pretty good season premiere. I pray the black guy, sensitive chick, and Australian pretty boy returns soon though. Show seemed a tad flat without House’s interaction with his former employees. Though I could live without Chase, he mostly just annoys me. Previews for next week look…odd. What with House hallucinating or whatever the hell’s going on. Never can be sure with previews these days. Now I just need to get House season 3 on DVD(and Heroes and The Office). Damn my need for a life, and damn life for costing money! Found a good synopsis of the first episode HERE. Explained much better than I ever could.

Off topic, but sorta on, I also DVR’d the first episode of Chuck, and Bionic Woman. Chuck looked interesting, kinda fun. Bionic Woman only got DVR’d do to my love of all things superhero-ish. Not expecting much from it. Yet to watch either.

…and I’m indifferent. Awesome beginning, above average middle, horrible 3rd quarter, and an end that just sort of meanders along into absurdity. If I gather everything right. Deadpool is invincible. Has a healing factor that can regenerate him from just a hand, and Thanos has “gifted” him to everlasting life due to Deaths apparent love for Deadpool. The series “ends”, but it continues in another new(at the time) ongoing series titled Agent X. Which I also have. I’ll probably read it next. It’s only 15 issues. Afterwards I’m not sure. Maybe finish up Sandman. Will say Deadpool is easily in my top 3 comic character’s ever. Hell, he’s in my top 10 for this panel alone…

…but even worse is being on the verge of being sick. Where it’s just kinda there. You don’t feel too bad but sure as hell don’t feel good. Been like that for 4 days now. Having sick kids around isn’t helping matters. bleh!

Anyway, I stopped reading Deadpool for awhile cuz I wasn’t digging the current writers work and I was reading a couple Terry Pratchett books anyway. But after finishing “Sourcery” I decided to finish it(Deadpool) up today and tomorrow. Read about 10 issues today and the aforementioned writer is long gone and Deadpool’s beginning to feel like Deadpool again. Should zip right through the remaining 12 or so issues, then I can finish up Civil War, maybe start on Death Stroke or one of the other manga’s gathering dust…on my hard drive.

I’ve decided where my first trip(In April) will be also. Yay me! It was between Chicago and Atlanta and we decided on Atlanta. Mostly to see the Braves, but found alot of stuff there to do and see. Namely the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, the Atlanta Zoo and Georgia Aquarium. I’m a big animal lover…not so much that I don’t eat meat, but other than ESPN, the channel I most watch is Animal Planet. There’s a few other thing’s I wanna see/do while there but not so much where I’d be upset if I didn’t.

After that we’re going to San Diego and Comic Con! Buying tickets for it next month. Cousin(s) may be coming with us then. It’s in July. 3 beautiful days of nerd-dom…though we’ll probably only go two of the three days. Also, again, I wanna go to the San Diego Zoo. Got some family around there as well. Not real interested in that aspect.

The cause of all my traveling and subsequent “getting a life” also lives in Cali, but as much as I wanna see her, I think I’ll avoid that situation for awhile longer. She’s a long way from San Diego anyway….120 miles is long right?

After those two trips, we have one more planned for Cali in October, but it’s no pleasure trip for me. It’s all about family. Not even sure where in Cali, but they do this every year and we’ve never gone. Mainly cuz I’m not a fan of people…or family. And there’ll be lots of both lol.

…or some such nonsense. The best show not called House has returned to TV and it was…ok. Loved that Takezo Kensei is a gaijin(foreigner) with no intention of being a “hero”. It’s amazing how history distorts reality…I’m looking at you Christopher Columbus! I think they brought Peter back too early, though it looks like he’s got amnesia, so that can be interesting especially with how he was found/revealed.

2 new Heroes were also revealed…well 3, but lets concentrate on twin brother and sister Maya Herrera and Alejandro Herrera. I have a feeling they’re gonna be critical in this season. Maya appears to be able to cause deadly disease. Though it’s clearly a power she can’t control nor wants. Her brother appears to be able to control her power. Well, not control, but when he’s around her she doesn’t kill people with her “gift”. The whole twin thing comes into effect there I’m guessin’.

Hiro still rocks and George Takei dying makes me sad.

Got out again today. Go me, go me! Also got out Friday to see my cousin’s football game. They won 28-0, their first win of the season.

Also the Chiefs were victorious today! So all in all a good weekend. Bowe(Dwayne) knows football..but does Bowe know Bo…that is the question.

Saturday I just chilled out. Did absolutely nothing. Trying to get a cold. Woke up feeling a little stuffy. Taking some sudafed and guzzling OJ. So far, so good.

Today, I went out to my grandparent’s for my gramps b-day. They’re heading to Cali for about a month to visit family, so won’t see them for awhile. So basically just hung out and visited. Was a decent time. Sis actually came out with us and the kids were shockingly well behaved.

As always, I’ve got some pictures. The picture’s of the sunset and moon we stopped in the middle of the highway to take. lol My Aunt Sally hates having her picture taken, so she hid behind a chair. I got part of her. Nephew got a good picture of her, but she forbade me from posting it…it’s a good one. lol
