The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett

The Light Fantastic by Terry PratchettFinished up the second book(of about 23) of Terry Pratchett’s “Discworld Series”. It was a direct sequel to his first Discworld novel “The Colour of Magic”. Apparently it’s the only book so far in the Discworld series that follows on directly from the book before it. Which I must say, makes me sad as I’ve really grown attached to the two main character in those books. Especially Twoflower, who’s outlook on life is just refreshing if not very naive.

Funny, witty, serious(at times). All the things for a very enjoyable book. I’ll be picking up the third book at my next nearest convenience. If you’ve ever read Douglas Adam’s work and even remotely enjoyed it, pick up Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic now.

As mentioned in a previous post, similar styles but I like Terry Pratchett alot more. The last 30 or so pages was really fricken good. I usually read about 50 pages in a sitting then take a break. Today I read the final 140 pages or so without stopping as I REALLY wanted to know what was going to happen and more importantly how it was going to happen.

Now I’m out of reading material as I didn’t plan on finishing it so soon. I’m a sad little monkey.
